  • Wear PPE as required and maintain high accuracy in all tasks.

LTHT Pharmacy Preparative Services is one of the busiest such services in the UK. It provides vital Ready to Administer injectable medicines including Antibiotics, Chemotherapy, Nutritional feeds and Radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and treatment clinics.

We are part of a national programme to transform aseptic services in England, with West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts (WYAAT) identified as a pathfinder site. Our team is expanding to support the build of a new Aseptic Hub to manufacture medicines for the WYAAT collaborative, with hospitals in the region working together for the best possible patient care.

Assessment and Interview

If shortlisted, you will be invited to attend an assessment on 9th November 2026. Successful candidates may then be invited back for Interview on 11th November or 12th November 2026.

Apprenticeship Funding Eligibility

What You Will Bring To The Role

You will be working in specialist clean room areas, and your duties will include worksheet and label generation, assembly of medicines, preparation of injectable medicines, dispensing, and receipt and distribution of pharmaceuticals and stock control.

You will also gain valuable skills and knowledge along the way including understanding the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice and working with Pharmaceutical Quality Systems.

To perform this role, you will need to have good manual dexterity and the ability to concentrate whilst maintaining high accuracy. There is also a requirement to wear PPE.

Contract and Salary

The post is full-time, working 37.5 hours per week. There will also be some Bank Holiday and weekend commitments. The role is offered under Annex 21 conditions. During the training period, salary will be paid in accordance with Annex 21 arrangements, with pay uplifted to meet the National Minimum Wage where applicable. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, pay will increase to Band 3.
