Job description

We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and self-motivated Procurement Specialist to join our Procurement and Distribution team in the Pharmacy Department at York or Scarborough Hospital. A good understanding of procurement and stock management is essential for this role.

We are a friendly and innovative team that values improvement and service development. Experience working within a Pharmacy Stores environment would be beneficial but is not essential, as training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supporting training within pharmacy procurement
2. Participating in reviewing SOPs
3. Managing stock control, ordering, and supply of medicines to wards
4. Daily ordering of pharmaceuticals for York and Scarborough Hospitals
5. Inputting contracts and resolving supply issues
6. Collaborating with senior members of the Procurement and Distribution teams to enable improvements aligned with the Trust's priorities
