Job summary

Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital in Wimbledon, London SW19 5NB, is seeking a highly motivated Pharmacy Manager to lead and develop our hospital pharmacy services, ensuring safe, effective medicines management.

You will provide operational and clinical leadership for the department, oversee governance, procurement, budgeting, and work with clinicians to drive service improvement and patient care.

Qualifications

• Previous hospital pharmacy experience is essential for this role.
• Strong leadership and management capabilities are essential.
• Willingness to lead and develop pharmacy services within a private hospital.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for the pharmacy department.
• Ensure safe, effective, and economical use of medicines across the hospital.
• Lead, manage, and develop the pharmacy team, including performance management.
• Oversee medicines management, procurement, stock control, and budgeting.
• Ensure compliance with GPhC standards, hospital policies, and relevant legislation.
• Support clinical governance, audits, risk management, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with consultants, clinicians, and senior management teams.

A rare, new and exciting opportunity has arisen, at our Nuffield Health Parkside Hospital where we are seeking a highly motivated Pharmacy Manager to lead and develop our pharmacy services within our prestigious private hospital. As Pharmacy Manager, you’ll provide both operational and clinical leadership for the pharmacy department, ensuring safe, effective and patient-centred medicines management across the hospital.

Previous hospital pharmacy experience is essential for this role but previous hospital pharmacy manager experience isn’t…so all new aspiring managers with proven hospital pharmacy experience are welcome to apply as are experienced hospital pharmacy managers looking for a new challenge!!

As Pharmacy Manager, you will lead a team, manage medicines governance, and work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across the hospital as well as ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Previous hospital pharmacy experience is essential, as well as strong leadership and management capabilities but if you have all these qualities with previous experience as a Hospital Pharmacist and are now looking for that next step….then

You will be highly organised, analytical and have the ability to drive service improvement and innovation.
