Job summary

Superdrug is seeking a Pharmacy Manager in Birkenhead to lead a high-performing team and deliver exceptional patient care. This fixed-term role runs for 6 months with 42.5 hours per week and alternate Saturdays.

GPhC registered pharmacists or Pharmacist Independent Prescribers are encouraged to apply, with a competitive salary up to £58,000 FTE and potential bonus. Join a network of over 170 pharmacies and 90+ health clinics, benefiting from generous holiday, discounts, and ongoing training

Qualifications

• GPhC registered pharmacist requirement.
• Newly qualified pharmacists encouraged to apply.

• Commercial awareness and understanding of NHS funding required.

Responsibilities

• Lead your pharmacy team to exceed targets and deliver patient care.
• Manage stock, operations, and GPhC standards (PSNI where applicable).
• Drive commercial performance and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Deliver and develop pharmacy and healthcare services for the local community.
• Use clinical expertise to support a wide range of healthcare needs.
• Receive support from your Regional Healthcare Manager and contribute to future strategy.

Salary: Up to £58,000 FTE (based 45 hours per week) - negotiable depending on experience

What You'll Be Doing:

• Leading your pharmacy team to exceed targets and deliver exceptional patient care
• Managing stock, operations, and GPhC (PSNI) standards
• Driving commercial success and ensuring compliance
• Delivering and developing pharmacy and healthcare services to meet the needs of your local community
• Using your clinical expertise to support patients with a wide range of healthcare needs
• Receiving direct support from your Regional Healthcare Manager
• Playing a key role in shaping the future of Superdrug's healthcare offering

We're Looking For:

• GPhC registered pharmacists
• Community pharmacy experience preferred
• Independent Prescriber qualification welcomed but not essential
• Newly qualified pharmacists are encouraged to apply
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Commercial awareness and understanding of NHS pharmacy funding
