Job summary
Boots UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals with safe dispensing and patient care during your NVQ2 training, delivering friendly guidance to customers.
As you complete the Dispenser training, you will gain hands-on experience in prescription dispensing, patient counselling, and adherence support while developing your healthcare knowledge and career prospects within Boots UK.
Qualifications
- Willing to complete the Dispenser NVQ2 training programme.
- Must have current and valid UK right to work; sponsorship is not available.
Responsibilities
- Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme
- Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines; ordering, labelling, endorsing and collection of prescriptions
- Work with other healthcare professionals in your store to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services
- Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate
- Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions
- Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes
- Support patients to manage their prescriptions to promote adherence and reduce waste.
