Job summary

Boots Group in the UK is recruiting for a Trainee Dispenser in-store to support the pharmacist and healthcare team while completing the NVQ2 Dispenser training. You will greet customers, dispense prescriptions, provide medicine guidance, and help manage repeats to promote safe, effective patient care.

This entry-level role requires a commitment to training and UK right-to-work. Prior community pharmacy experience is helpful; remote applications are not considered.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2)
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience working in community pharmacy is a plus

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering, labelling, endorsing)
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services in-store
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with processes
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and adhere to their medicines
