Job summary

Boots UK is hiring for a Trainee Dispenser in the UK in-store team. You will start training toward the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 while supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure safe, efficient delivery of pharmacy services.

You will learn prescription dispensing, patient care, and how to use store systems to improve safety and patient outcomes. This is a training-focused, in-store role with clear progression opportunities within Boots UK.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing whilst ensuring the safe supply of medicines e.g. ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
• Work with other healthcare professionals in your store to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines effectively to promote adherence and reduce waste.
