Job summary

Boots is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join our pharmacy team in-store. You will support the pharmacist, dispense prescriptions, and advise patients while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2).

Working within the store's healthcare department, you'll learn about safe dispensing, SOPs, and how to promote adherence. The role offers development path toward Pharmacy Technician or store leadership in time.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience working in community pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Complete prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
• Endorse and label prescriptions, manage collection and filing.
• Work with store healthcare professionals to assist in the delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist.
• Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions with reliable repeats and promote adherence.
