Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team. You’ll support the pharmacist in dispensing prescriptions, advising patients, and ensuring safe medicine delivery within the store’s healthcare department.

You’ll need NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor or be progressing towards an MPharm, with UK right to work. Experience in community pharmacy is a plus, and there are durable benefits and career development options.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or are currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions).
• Work with other healthcare professionals in-store to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines to promote adherence and reduce waste.
