Job summary

Boots Group is seeking a Dispenser to join its UK stores, supporting pharmacists and healthcare professionals in delivering safe, effective pharmacy services. You will engage with patients, dispense prescriptions, and advise on medicines to promote health and wellness.

The role is in-store across the UK, with in-store training and progression opportunities, including potential pathways to Pharmacy Technician or leadership roles within the store.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or are currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring the safe supply of medicines (labelling, endorsing, and collection of prescriptions).
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in-store to manage and deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes.
• Assist patients in managing prescriptions and adherence to reduce waste.

Education

Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 (or equivalent) / MPharm first year
