Job summary

Boots UK is hiring a Dispenser in-store in the UK to support the pharmacist and healthcare team, dispensing prescriptions and advising customers on medicines, health and wellness.

You will work within the store's healthcare department, building relationships with patients, ensuring the safe sale of medicines, and delivering high-quality healthcare services. A pre-employment check will be completed after an offer, and applicants must have the UK right to work.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or are currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines and handling ordering, labelling, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals in-store to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with new developments and comply with operational processes.
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medications to promote adherence and reduce waste.
