Job summary

Asda Gloucester is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Colleague to join our store's pharmacy team. The role involves assisting with prescriptions and customer care, with a focus on friendly service and confidentiality.

You will train towards becoming a Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and then progress to Dispensing Assistant training, building your pharmacy skills while supporting the Pharmacist.

Qualifications

• You must pass an enhanced safeguarding check.
• Ability to handle prescriptions accurately and discuss health issues with customers.
• Willing to work flexible afternoons, with weekend work required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and process prescriptions accurately.
• Promote pharmacy services such as Prescription Collection Service and Medicines Use Reviews.
• Assist Pharmacist with patient services and record keeping.
• Collect prescriptions from doctors' surgeries and bring to the store.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and maintain patient confidentiality.
