Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd is seeking a Pharmacy Colleague in Huyton. The role requires part-time hours (15 per week) with weekend work and a 24/7 store environment. You will learn to process prescriptions, promote pharmacy services and assist customers with healthcare needs under supervision.

You will complete an accredited course to become a Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months and then train as a Dispensing Assistant, building a progressive pharmacy career within Asda.

Qualifications

• Pass an enhanced safeguarding check.
• Willingness to work weekends and flexible shifts.
• Becoming a Medicine Counter Assistant in 6 months and then training as a Dispensing Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and process prescriptions accurately.
• Promote pharmacy services (Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews).
• Support Pharmacist with patient services (blood pressure checks, stop smoking schemes).
• Collect prescriptions from doctor surgeries and bring to store for collection.
