Job summary

Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Pharmacy Clinical Trials Assistant for Royal Oldham Hospital and Fairfield General Hospital. The role supports the clinical trials team, with responsibilities including handling IMPs, stock management and data recording.

The post requires NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent), hospital dispensing experience and a keen interest in clinical trials. Training will be provided and the job offers NHS benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

Experience of dispensing prescriptions within a hospital pharmacy setting.
NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
Interest in clinical trials; previous related experience not essential.

Responsibilities

Support monitoring visits by external sponsors and maintain pharmacy site files.
Manage clinical trial stock, patient returns, expired stock and destruction of IMPs.
Monitor temperatures of IMPs and handle excursions.
Coordinate deliveries across three sites in the North East Sector.
Train dispensary staff on clinical trial dispensing procedures.
Record and update clinical trial data meticulously.
