Qualifications

• BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Science is required.
• Strong communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Clinical Trials Pharmacy experience – full training will be provided.
• Aseptic experience alone will not be accepted as a substitute for technical/regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day running of the Clinical Trials Pharmacy service.
• Work with Senior Clinical Trials Technicians to ensure safe handling of Investigational Medicinal Products (IMPs).
• Assist in developing trial processes aligned with Trust strategies and study requirements.
• Ensure all trial activity follows legislation, GCP, and local governance procedures.
• Coordinate staffing within the trials area and contribute to workforce planning.
• Promote strong teamwork across the Clinical Trials Pharmacy team.
• Support training, competency assessments and development of staff.
• Maintain COSHH, infection control and statutory standards.
