Job summary

Lincolnshire Co-op is seeking a Checking Technician to ensure every prescription is right, every time. You will carry out final accuracy checks on dispensed prescriptions, review for anomalies and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations before medicines reach patients.

You'll support the wider pharmacy team with stock checks, quality control and safeguarding patient confidentiality, while maintaining a professional, organised pharmacy environment in a busy store setting.

Qualifications

• GPhC-recognised Accuracy Checking Technician qualification and GPhC registration.
• A strong commitment to patient safety and high accuracy.
• Excellent attention to detail and professional conduct.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with colleagues and prescribers.
• Understanding of confidentiality and data protection in a busy pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Carry out final accuracy checks on dispensed prescriptions.
• Review prescriptions to identify anomalies or incomplete information.
• Ensure medicines meet regulatory and safety requirements.
• Provide guidance on safe and effective use of prescribed medicines.
• Support stock management and quality checks within the pharmacy.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and a professional pharmacy environment.
