Job summary

Boots UK is seeking a Trainee Dispenser in-store across the UK. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient delivery of pharmacy services while you complete your Dispenser training (NVQ2).

No previous experience is required; full training will be provided. You will learn dispensing, patient care, and how to manage medicines and repeats, with opportunities to progress to Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications

Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
Current and valid UK right to work; no sponsorship.
No previous experience required; full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

Complete training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines e.g. ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection of prescriptions.
Work with healthcare professionals in your store to assist in the management and delivery of pharmacy services.
Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
Follow SOPs to support the safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
Keep up to date with new innovations in store and comply with operational processes.
Support patients to manage their prescriptions and repeats to promote adherence and reduce waste.
