University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Pharmacy Store Associate for Queens Hospital Burton On Trent to manage the day-to-day operations of the Pharmacy Store, ensuring efficient distribution and goods-in services.

Role involves stock receipt, checking deliveries, recording batches and expiry dates, ensuring correct storage, and supporting ward-based pharmaceutical supply. Training will be provided; 8:15am–4:15pm shifts.

Competenze

  • NVQ Level 2 qualification would be advantageous but not essential as training and education can be provided.
  • Hours of work: 8.15am - 4.15pm.
  • Willingness to participate in stocking, stock checks and wastage disposal.

Mansioni

  • Participate in topping up service to wards & departments.
  • Participate in ad-hoc supply of stock items to wards & departments.
  • Participate in supply & distribution of pharmaceuticals to wards & departments.
  • Receive goods and check them against delivery documents, recording batch numbers and expiry dates.
  • Ensure products are stored correctly.
  • Carry out waste management and disposal of return medicines.
  • Participate in stock checks.
  • Provide customer-focused service at the hatch/receipt area.

The post holder will be responsible for the general day to day operational functions of the Pharmacy Store, including a high quality and efficient pharmacy distribution and goods-in service at Queens Hospital Burton On Trent.

The pharmacy logistics team are welcoming and friendly. We are a diverse team and offer the hand of friendship to all new starters.

A pharmacy NVQ Level 2 qualification would be advantageous to the post, however not essential as training and education can be provided.

Hours of work: 8.15am - 4.15pm

  • Participate in the topping up service to wards & departments at the Queens Hospital Burton On Trent
  • Participate in the adhoc supply of stock items to wards & departments.
  • Participate in the supply & distribution of pharmaceuticals to wards & departments
  • Participate in the receipt of all goods delivered to Pharmacy stores. This will involve checking goods received against delivery documents, recording batch numbers & expiry dates and recording details on the pharmacy stock control system
  • Ensuring products are stored in the correct areas.
  • Perform waste management & disposal of return medicines, these may include hazardous items
  • Participate in stock checks
  • Participate in customer focussed service which will include dealing with Trust staff at the hatch or receipt area
