Pharmacy Assistant Technical Officer - Band 2, 37.5 hours per week, Permanent
Working within the Pharmacy Department at Tameside General Hospital, this role supports pharmacists and technicians in dispensing and distributing medications to wards, departments, and clinics within the Trust.
Previous pharmacy experience is advantageous, but full training will be provided for those without experience. You will undertake a GPhC-approved course in Pharmacy Stock Management.
Desirable qualifications include GCSEs in Maths and English (grades A-C) or equivalent, along with basic computer skills. Functional skills can be developed alongside the stock management course.
The role involves supporting Pharmacists and technical staff in the Dispensary, Aseptic Dispensing Unit, and Pharmacy Receipt & Distribution. It includes visiting hospital wards and departments to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services.
