Job summary

Responsibilities

• Monitor expiration dates and rotate stock properly.
• Accurately pick and pack orders for delivery.
• Prepare products for shipment following regulations.
• Conduct regular quality checks on stored and shipped products.
• Follow SOPs to maintain product integrity.
• Adhere to health and safety protocols in the workplace.
• Handle hazardous materials according to procedures.
• Coordinate workflow with pharmacists and delivery personnel.

Pharmacy Assistant

Location: Manchester
Reporting to: Pharmacy Manager
Hours: Full time (42.5 hours), Monday - Friday.

About the role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our pharmacy team. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of aesthetic and pharmaceutical products. The ideal candidate should be organized, have a strong attention to detail and be capable of working in a compliant process driven environment.

Requirements (essential)

• Previous experience in a pharmacy or warehouse, or similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
• Ability to lift and carry moderately heavy loads.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Adherence to health and safety guidelines.
• Secondary school examinations or equivalent.

Desirable requirements

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and storage requirements is an asset
• NVQ 2 Qualified
• Familiarity with Human Medicines Regulations 2012 and EU GDP Guidelines (2013/C 343/01)

• Work closely with other team members to coordinate workflow.Communicate effectively with pharmacists, delivery personnel and other relevant stakeholders.
