Job summary

Healthxchange in Oxford is seeking a Pharmacy Dispenser to support the smooth operation of the new Pharmacy. You will handle accurate dispensing, storage, and distribution of aesthetic and pharmaceutical products as part of a high-performing team.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organisation, and compliance with SOPs and health and safety guidelines. Prior pharmacy or warehouse experience is preferred, with familiarity with inventory systems a plus.

Qualifications

• Secondary school examinations or equivalent.
• NVQ 2 Qualified.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical products and storage requirements is an asset.
• Familiarity with Human Medicines Regulations 2012 and EU GDP Guidelines (2013/C 343/01)

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming product shipments.
• Ensure all items match the accompanying documentation.
• Report any discrepancies or damages to the relevant internal stakeholders.
• Safely and securely store pharmaceutical products in designated areas.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized systems.
• Monitor expiration dates and ensure proper rotation of stock.
• Accurately pick and pack orders for delivery to various locations.
• Prepare pharmaceutical products for shipment in compliance with regulations.
• Conduct regular quality checks on stored and shipped products.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain product integrity.
• Adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials.
• Work closely with other team members to coordinate workflow.
• Communicate effectively with pharmacists, delivery personnel and other relevant stakeholders.

Job Title: Pharmacy Dispenser

Reports to: Pharmacy Manager

Location: Oxford DC

Salary: From £30,000

Shift pattern: 5 days per week, 8.5 hours per day with 30 mins unpaid lunch, scheduled either Sunday to Thursday or Monday to Friday, between the hours of 7am and 7pm.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic Pharmacy Dispenser who will play a key role in supporting the smooth and efficient running of our new Pharmacy. Working as part of a high-performing team, the role ensures the accurate dispensing, and the efficient handling, storage, and distribution of aesthetic & pharmaceutical products. The ideal candidate should be organized, have a strong attention to detail, and be capable of working in a compliant process driven environment.

• Previous experience in a pharmacy or warehouse, or similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems.
