Job summary

Skills4Group is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team in Kent. You will support daily pharmacy operations, help customers, and work toward a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support.

Starting October 2026, you will gain hands-on experience in a healthcare setting, with pay at £8 per hour and opportunity to grow within the pharmacy team. No prior pharmacy experience required, training provided.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided for the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Help customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health and safety, and confidentiality.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality

• Apprentices must be able to commit to contracted working hours and guided learning hours
