Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) in Thornaby is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. You will earn while you learn, completing a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support.

Responsibilities include helping customers at the medicines counter, assisting with prescriptions under supervision, stock control and using pharmacy systems.

Qualifications

Brief Description

TS17 0WG. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship - Thornaby

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
