Job summary

I & F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support day-to-day pharmacy operations and engage with customers while working toward a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

You will learn in a busy community pharmacy, complete the apprenticeship with full training and support provided, and gain hands-on experience in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
• No previous pharmacy experience is required full training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with customers to provide prescription counter services and healthcare advice.
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records.
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales under supervision.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.

Job description

Working Week: Monday-Thursday 9.00am to 6.00pm with a 60minute unpaid lunch

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
