Job summary

I&F Limited (T/A Skills4Group) is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team and earn while you learn. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship over typically 15 months, training alongside your day-to-day duties and gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare setting.

As part of the role, you will assist with prescriptions, engage with customers, maintain stock, and learn to use pharmacy systems under supervision.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English desired or equivalent.
• If Maths/English Level 2 not present, tests determine suitability.
• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.

Brief Description

WF6 2AQ. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service
