Job summary

Skills4Group in Swindon is offering a Pharmacy Assistant Apprenticeship. You will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, assist customers at the medicines counter, and learn under supervision while working toward a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

No prior pharmacy experience required; full training provided. Duration typically around 15 months, with blended learning and commitment to contracted hours.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C (Maths and English preferred but not essential, as can be provided as part of the course).
• Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications: employment contingent on completing initial tests to determine suitability for the course.
• Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship training provided alongside the role.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision).
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.

Brief Description

SN4 9ED We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
