Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is offering a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice role, combining on-the-job duties with a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship. You will work with the pharmacy team to support daily operations and ensure safe, efficient service.

Full training is provided; GCSEs in Maths and English are desirable. You will gain practical experience in customer service, stock management and using pharmacy systems while pursuing the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• Interest in healthcare and helping customers.
• No pharmacy experience is required; full training provided.

Job description

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

No previous pharmacy experience is required full training is provided.

Apprenticeship details:

Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
