Job summary

Skills4 Pharmacy in Lancashire is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a fantastic opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare setting while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, with full training and support provided, starting 29 August 2026, position based within 30 minutes of the pharmacy.

Qualifications

GCSEs in Maths and English desirable, provided via course if needed.
No prior pharmacy experience required; full training provided.
Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship is included.

Responsibilities

Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision
Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining records
Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
Maintaining cleanliness, health and safety and confidentiality
Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
