Job summary

Skills4Group in the United Kingdom is recruiting a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice for a busy community pharmacy in Kettering. You will support day‑to‑day running, help customers at the counter, assist with prescriptions under supervision, and begin a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

No prior pharmacy experience is required; full training is provided and you will undertake a 15‑month blended learning programme to gain a nationally recognised qualification and practical pharmacy

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.
• Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship offered with blended learning and on‑the‑job support.

Brief Description

NN15 5AZ We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

About the role

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
