Job summary

Skills4Group is recruiting for a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice in Peterborough. You will support the daily running of the pharmacy, assist customers, and train alongside your role in a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

You will gain hands-on experience in a busy community pharmacy, with full training and blended learning. This role offers an opportunity to earn while you learn and progress toward a recognised qualification in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English (A-C or 4-9) are desired but not essential and can be provided as part of the course.
• Maths and English Level 2 qualifications may be required or assessed via initial tests to determine suitability.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.

Brief Description

PE4 6NA We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
