Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is offering an Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice position where you will support daily pharmacy operations and help customers with queries. You will undertake a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support provided.

Key duties include assisting with prescriptions under supervision, handling stock, and using pharmacy systems while maintaining safety and confidentiality. No prior pharmacy experience is required.

Qualifications

• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.
• Apprenticeship leads to Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant qualification.
• GCSEs in Maths and English are desirable but not essential; training may include Maths/English support.

Job description

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

Apprenticeship details:

Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
