Job summary

Skills4Group is recruiting for a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice in Grimsby. You will support day-to-day pharmacy operations, assist customers, and work with the team to ensure safe, efficient service while training for a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

No prior pharmacy experience is required, as full training is provided. The role offers hands-on experience in a community pharmacy environment with blended learning over approximately 15 months.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9; Maths and English desired but can be provided as part of the course.
• No prior pharmacy experience required; full training provided.
• You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.

About the course

Brief Description

DN32 7AE. We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
