Job summary

Skills4Pharmacy in Derby (DE22) is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. Earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience and working toward a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

You will support day-to-day pharmacy operations, assist with prescriptions, engage with customers and learn stock control, while training full‑time over approximately 15 months.

Qualifications

• GCSEs (A-C/4-9) in Maths and English desired; provided if needed.
• Maths/English Level 2 may be required and tested for suitability.
• Interest in healthcare and helping customers is essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers at the medicines counter and answer queries.
• Support preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
