Job summary

Peterborough area pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy and help customers with their enquiries. You will join the busy team and work towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support.

The role involves assisting with prescriptions, stock management, and using pharmacy systems, while maintaining high standards of confidentiality and customer service.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent.
• Willingness to complete Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.
• Interest in healthcare and helping customers.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Basic IT skills.

Brief Description

PE4 6NA We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.
