Job summary

Day Lewis Pharmacy in Red Lodge (IP28 8XQ) is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant (Dispenser/Technician) to work full-time on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 9am-6pm.

Reporting to the Pharmacist Manager, you will support the dispensary, assist on the front counter, and help develop relationships with patients and healthcare organisations while pursuing induction training and possibly a Pharmacy Assistant course (3–6 months).

Qualifications

• Full-time availability: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 9am–6pm.
• Interest in medicine and clinical care and willingness to train in a Pharmacy Assistant role.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist in developing the pharmacy business and ensure high levels of customer service.
• Assist on the front counter and welcome/support patients.
• Be part of a small, hardworking team.
• Develop relationships with patients and healthcare organisations for patient-friendly service.

The first stage of this career path at Pharmacy Assistant level is settling into our team and completing the Day Lewis Induction training. Then depending on previous pharmacy experience you may need to complete a pharmacy assistant course which can take between 3-6 months.

The National Pharmaceutical Association's new BTEC Level 3 Diploma - Principles and practices for Pharmacy Technicians - is an integrated course tailored to suit the needs of the learner and the pharmacy at a time when the responsibility and professional recognition of pharmacy technicians is growing.

Reporting directly to the Pharmacist Manager, your support at Pharmacy Assistant level is vital to the team in the provision of advanced and enhanced services.
