Job summary

Fairfield Independent Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Assistant in St Helens. The role covers 30 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern and involves medicines prep, stock control and patient-facing duties.

• Complete records, track prescriptions, and enter data in pharmacy systems.
• Respond to enquiries from patients, staff, or colleagues professionally.
• Adhere to health and safety, infection prevention and medicines management protocols.

Fairfield Independent Hospital in St Helens is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join their team of staff in thePharmacy department.

This is a part time role for 30 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions under appropriate supervision.
• Support the safe supply of medicines, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and distribution to wards and departments.
• Monitor stock levels and expiry dates, helping maintain accurate inventory across the pharmacy and clinical areas.
• Assist with the completion of relevant records, prescription tracking, and data entry on pharmacy systems.
• Respond to basic enquiries from patients, nursing staff, or other colleagues in a professional and helpful manner.
• Adhere to all health and safety, infection prevention, and medicines management protocols.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:
