Job summary

Fairfield Independent Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, in St Helens, is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Wards team. This full-time role offers 37.5 hours per week with a flexible day/night shift pattern. The salary is up to £32,338 per year, dependent on experience and qualifications.

As part of the Circle Health Group, you will deliver direct nursing care, maintain documentation, and work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration.
• Experience in clinical healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of patient safety and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems for patient records and care planning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and protocols.
• Assess patient needs and update care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation, including assessments and observations.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and carers providing information and reassurance.
• Support patients in understanding their condition and treatments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to provide safe, high-quality care.
• Identify and report incidents and safeguarding concerns as per procedures.

We have an opportunity for an Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in theWards department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern. Candidates must be available to work both day and night shiift.

Duties of this role include:

• Deliver direct nursing care in line with patient care plans and clinical protocols.
• Assess patient needs, prioritise care, and update care plans accordingly.
• Maintain accurate, legible, and timely nursing documentation, including assessments, care plans, and observations.
• Communicate effectively and empathetically with patients, families, and carers, providing information, reassurance, and emotional support.
• Support patients in understanding their condition, treatments, and recovery processes.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality, safe, and efficient care.
• Identify and report incidents, safeguarding concerns, and potential risks in line with hospital procedures.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
• Demonstrable experience working in a clinical healthcare setting.
• Good understanding of clinical governance, patient safety, and evidence-based practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficient in IT systems used for patient records, documentation, and care planning.
