Job summary

Allied Pharmacies in the United Kingdom seeks a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician to join our pharmacy team, ensuring safe, accurate dispensing and patient safety. You will work closely with the pharmacist and dispensing staff to uphold high standards and SOP compliance.

You'll perform final checks, resolve discrepancies, and support stock management while maintaining meticulous records and contributing to a well‑run dispensary in a community pharmacy setting.

Qualifications

• ACT qualification (or working towards one).
• Experience in a community pharmacy setting.
• High attention to detail and a strong commitment to patient safety.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out final accuracy checks on dispensed prescriptions in line with SOPs.

• Maintain accurate records in line with GPhC and NHS standards.
• Assist with stock management and ordering where required.

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified Accuracy Checking Technician to join our pharmacy team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions, working closely with the pharmacist and wider pharmacy team to maintain the highest standards of patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out final accuracy checks on dispensed prescriptions in line with SOPs
• Identifying and resolving any discrepancies before medication reaches the patient
• Supporting the pharmacist with the safe and efficient running of the dispensary
• Maintaining accurate records in line with GPhC and NHS standards

• Previous experience working within a community pharmacy setting
