Voy seeks a GPhC-registered Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) on a locum basis to accurately check prescriptions and support the daily functioning of the on-site dispensary in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. You will report to the Responsible Pharmacist and have autonomy to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and operational guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with practice standards.
• Check dispensed prescriptions and dispatch orders.
• Manage near misses and create action plans.
• Work with Risk and Safety to root cause incidents.
• Coordinate with Service and other teams to ensure timely dispatch.
• Proactively contribute to service development and patient experience.
• Assist Pharmacy Manager in training the Pharmacy workforce.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to manage inventory.

Job description

We are looking to hire a GPhC-registered Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) on a locum basis to accurately check prescriptions and support the efficient day-to-day running of our dispensary based on-site in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. You will have significant responsibility and autonomy for ensuring patient safety and will report to the Responsible Pharmacist.

What You'll Be Doing

• Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operational guidelines.
• Maintaining compliance with our practice standards.
• Checking dispensed prescriptions and sending out orders via our couriers.
• Managing the Pharmacy near misses and creating action plans.
• Working with the Risk and Safety team to root cause and resolve incidents.
• Working proactively with Service and other internal teams to ensure orders are dispatched in a timely manner.
• Proactive problem-solving and innovation, contributing towards service development and patient experience.
• Working with the Pharmacy Manager to train and develop the Pharmacy workforce.
• Collaborating with the Pharmacy Manager and Supply Chain team to manage inventory.

• Hold a recognised Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification (or active enrolment in an accredited ACT training programme).
• Demonstrate high levels of professional expertise.

• Have a passion for pharmacy and providing the best care for our customers.

Our interview process
