Job summary

Voy is seeking a GPhC-registered Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) to accurately check prescriptions and support the day-to-day running of our dispensary on-site in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. You will report to the Responsible Pharmacist and contribute to patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Check dispensed prescriptions and support dispatch to customers.
• Follow SOPs and operational guidelines.
• Report and manage near misses; create corrective actions.
• Work with Risk and Safety to root cause incidents.
• Train pharmacy staff and manage inventory with Pharmacy Manager.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure timely order processing.

Job description

We are looking to hire a GPhC-registered Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) to accurately check prescriptions and support the efficient day-to-day running of our dispensary based on-site in Wallingford, Oxfordshire. You will have significant responsibility and autonomy for ensuring patient safety and will report to the Responsible Pharmacist.

What You'll Be Doing

• Follow our Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operational guidelines.
• Maintaining compliance with our practice standards.
• Checking dispensed prescriptions and sending out orders via our couriers.
• Managing the Pharmacy near misses and creating action plans.
• Working with the Risk and Safety team to root cause and resolve incidents.
• Working proactively with Service and other internal teams to ensure orders are dispatched in a timely manner.
• Proactive problem-solving and innovation, contributing towards service development and patient experience.
• Working with the Pharmacy Manager to train and develop the Pharmacy workforce.
• Collaborating with the Pharmacy Manager and Supply Chain team to manage inventory.
