Job summary

Rowlands Pharmacy in Bala (Wales) is seeking a Pharmacist, with newly qualified candidates considered. The role involves dispensing, patient counselling, and contributing to public health initiatives in a quiet rural setting with a 5,000 items/month throughput and flexible Saturday hours.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Proven experience in a community pharmacy setting.
• IP training or IP-qualified candidates welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients, addressing questions and concerns.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care.
• Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe and effective medication management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory.
• Provide immunisation services where applicable.
• Advise on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.
• Participate in health promotion and public health initiatives.
