Job summary

Rowlands Pharmacy in Inverness is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our Balloan Park store on 25 hours per week with some flexibility to adjust to 21 hours. You will dispense prescriptions, counsel patients, and work with a team using Proscript and Medipac technology to ensure safe and effective care.

The ideal candidate is registered with the GPhC, patient-focused, and able to collaborate with clinicians in a busy community setting. We offer comprehensive benefits and a welcoming team.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration or eligibility to practise in Scotland.
• Strong patient-facing care orientation with safety focus.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a busy community pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
• Provide medication counselling and address patient questions.
• Collaborate with doctors and nurses to optimise patient care.
• Conduct medication reviews and manage pharmacy inventory.
• Maintain accurate patient records and offer immunisation services where applicable.
• Support health promotion initiatives and advise on OTC products.

Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a talented and experienced services driven pharmacist to join our team in the Balloan Park store. As a reputable and community oriented pharmacy chain, we are committed to providing the highest standard of care to our patients. If you are passionate about improving the well being of individuals in your community and eager to work in a collaborative and supportive environment, we want to hear from you.
This branch is staffed with an experienced team including a non pharm manager (training to be tech)plus x5 qualified dispensers, providing an excellent service to the local community from their setting in a city centre. Currently dispensing around 8,500 items per month, this is a relatively busybranch. As well as providing a variety of services, this branch also utilises our Medipac robotic distribution technology. This frees up your time to provide the care our patients deserve.
Branch uses Proscript.
Services provided currently:
Weight management, travel private and NHS, flu vaccinations, all Community pharmacy Scotland service and regional highlands. Needle exchange etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients, answering their questions and addressing concerns
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to optimize patient care
• Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe and effective medication management
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory
• Provide immunization services (where applicable)
• Offer advice on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products
• Actively participate in health promotion and public health initiatives

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
