Job summary

Rowlands Pharmacy in Bala (Wales) is seeking a Pharmacist, with newly qualified candidates considered. The Bala branch offers a supportive, community-focused environment with modern dispensing technology and local healthcare collaboration. IP-qualified candidates or those nearing IP training are welcomed.

The role involves dispensing, patient counselling, and contributing to public health initiatives in a quiet rural setting with a 5,000 items/month throughput and flexible Saturday hours.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Proven experience in a community pharmacy setting.
• IP training or IP-qualified candidates welcomed.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients, addressing questions and concerns.
• Collaborate with doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals to optimise patient care.
• Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe and effective medication management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory.
• Provide immunisation services where applicable.
• Advise on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.
• Participate in health promotion and public health initiatives.

Other Incentive: Up to £8,000 relocation package

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 09.00 - 18.00 and 1 in 4 Saturdays 09.00 - 17.00 (Some flexibility available)

Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a talented and experienced pharmacist to join our team in the Bala branch. This branch is staffed with an experienced team including an ACPT and a 3 Healthcare Partnersproviding an excellent service to the local community from their setting in a popular rural tourist area of Wales. Currently dispensing around 5,000 items per month, this is a relatively quiet branch. As well as providing a variety of services, this branch also utilises our Medipac robotic distribution technology. This frees up your time to provide the care our patients deserve.
