Join to apply for the Pharmacist Clinical Adviser role at NICE - National Institute for Health and Care Excellence.

The pharmacist clinical adviser role is within the clinical directorate, which aims to strengthen clinical leadership across NICE, oversee clinical activities, and promote stakeholder engagement.

This role supports the safe and effective use of medicines across the NHS, leading programmes, offering clinical and medicines advice, and sharing system intelligence to promote evidence-based practice.

The adviser works with the NICE Medicines and Prescribing Associate community, influencing medicines optimisation and prescribing strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing expertise and advice on medicines optimisation and implementation issues.
  • Leading and delivering complex projects related to technology appraisal, guidance development, and patient safety.
  • Collaborating with medicines optimisation colleagues to gather insights and support NICE initiatives.
  • Supporting the implementation of NICE guidance through developing tools and resources for practitioners.

The medicines optimisation team supports safe, cost-effective medicines use, guidance development, and stakeholder collaboration to improve patient outcomes.
