Job summary

Rowlands Pharmacy in Inverness is seeking a patient‑focused Pharmacist (newly qualified considered) to join the Balloan Park store. The role is 25 hours per week with some flexibility, based at our busy city centre branch.

You will dispense prescriptions, counsel patients, support immunization services, and collaborate with doctors and nurses to optimise care. Proscript and Medipac technologies help deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• GPhC-registered pharmacist with current registration.
• Commitment to patient care and safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and independently.
• Up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical products.
• Flexible and positive problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients.
• Collaborate with doctors and nurses to optimise patient care.
• Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe medication management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory.
• Provide immunization services where applicable.
• Offer advice on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.
• Participate in health promotion and public health initiatives.

Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a talented and experienced services driven pharmacist to join our team in the Balloan Park store. As a reputable and community oriented pharmacy chain, we are committed to providing the highest standard of care to our patients. This branch is staffed with an experienced team including a non pharm manager (training to be tech)plus x5 qualified dispensers, providing an excellent service to the local community from their setting in a city centre. Currently dispensing around 8,500 items per month, this is a relatively busybranch. As well as providing a variety of services, this branch also utilises our Medipac robotic distribution technology. This frees up your time to provide the care our patients deserve.

Branch uses Proscript.

Services provided currently:

Weight management, travel private and NHS, flu vaccinations, all Community pharmacy Scotland service and regional highlands. Needle exchange etc.
