Job summary

Rowlands Pharmacy in Dundee is seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our community-focused team. You will dispense prescriptions accurately, counsel patients, and collaborate with doctors and nurses to optimise patient care.

The branch supports Medipac robotic distribution, with a 44.5-hour weekly schedule and a busy workload of ~7000 items per month. A relocation package is offered to the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Strong commitment to patient care and safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• Up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical products and healthcare trends

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients, answering their questions and addressing concerns
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to optimize patient care
• Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe and effective medication management; maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory
• Provide immunization services (where applicable)
• Offer advice on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products
• Actively participate in health promotion and public health initiatives

Salary: Competitive rate and excellent benefits

Other incentive: Relocation package available

Working Hours: 44.5 hours average weekly hours

Week 1: Monday to Friday 09:00 to 18:00

Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 09:00 to 18:00 plus Saturday 09:00 to 17:00.

Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a talented and experienced pharmacist to join our team in the Dundee store. As a reputable and community oriented pharmacy chain, we are committed to providing the highest standard of care to our patients. This branch is staffed with an experienced team of 6 staff, including Non Pharmacist Manager/ACPT plus another ACPT. They provide an excellent service to the local community from their setting which has been recently refreshed, and has 2 consultation rooms.

Currently dispensing around 7000 items per month, this is a relatively busybranch. As well as providing a variety of services, this branch also utilises our Medipac robotic distribution technology. This frees up your time to provide the care our patients deserve.

Our Retail Branches use ProScript Connect to dispense Prescriptions.
