Rowlands Pharmacy is inviting applications for a Pharmacist role in Dumfries. Newly qualified pharmacists may be considered. The branch operates with an experienced team and uses modern dispensing technology to support patient care.

The role focuses on accurate dispensing, patient counselling, and collaborative care with doctors and nurses. A generous relocation package may be available and benefits include substantial holiday allowance and private medical insurance.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines.
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients, answering their questions and addressing concerns.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to optimize patient care.
• Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe and effective medication management.
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory.
• Provide immunization services (where applicable).
• Offer advice on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.
• Actively participate in health promotion and public health initiatives.

Salary: Competitive rates

Working Hours: Average of 43 hours per week
Week 1 - Monday to Friday 09:00 - 18:00
Week 2 - Monday to Saturday with a mid week day off

Rowlands Pharmacy is seeking a talented and experienced pharmacist to join our team in the Dumfries Branch. This branch is staffed with an experienced team including an ACT manager, 6 HCP level trainedproviding an excellent service to the local community in a remote large town . Currently dispensing around 5,000 items per month, this is a relatively quietbranch. As well as as providing a variety of services, such as NHS services, Private Flu, weight management etc, this branch also utilises our Medipac robotic distribution technology. This frees up your time to provide the care our patients deserve.

• Registered Pharmacist with the the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Proven experience in a communitypharmacy setting
