Job summary

LF&E Temperature Controlled Logistics is hiring a Same Day Delivery Driver to support nationwide delivery of temperature-controlled pharmaceutical products. The role emphasizes urgent, time-critical handling and a high level of flexibility, with shifts starting early and a strong focus on customer service.

Ideal candidates will have a full UK manual driving licence (3+ years, max 6 points), multi-drop delivery experience where possible, and excellent geographical knowledge for efficient route

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence held for at least 3 years with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Experience delivering to homes and pharmacies preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and collect same-day, temperature-controlled medication nationwide.
• Safely transport sensitive items to patients' homes and pharmacies and ensure on-time delivery.
• Inspect and maintain your vehicle; report issues promptly.
• Adhere to UK and EU regulations, including MHRA guidelines and GDP.

We specialise in temperature-controlled healthcare logistics, ensuring vital medications reach patients, pharmacies, and healthcare providers safely and on time.

We are looking for a dedicated Same Day Delivery Driver to join our team, supporting the delivery of time‑critical pharmaceutical products nationwide.

About The Role

This role involves delivering and collecting temperature-controlled medication nationwide, primarily to patients in their homes, as part of our same‑day delivery service. This is not a standard driving role, same‑day pharmaceutical deliveries are urgent, time‑critical, and require a high level of flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Collecting and delivering same‑day, temperature‑controlled medication via pre‑planned routes
• Safely transporting sensitive items to patients’ homes and pharmacies
• Ensuring deliveries are completed securely, accurately, and on time
• Inspecting and maintaining your vehicle, reporting any issues promptly
• Working collaboratively with the wider driver network and management team
• Adhering to UK and EU regulations, including MHRA guidelines and Good Distribution Practices
• Providing a high standard of customer service, acting with care, empathy, and professionalism

What We're Looking For

• Previous multi‑drop delivery experience is preferred.
• Experience driving a van is preferred.
• Strong geographical knowledge and route‑planning skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Highly organised, reliable, and professional in approach.
• A caring and empathetic manner when interacting with patients.
• Flexibility to meet the demands of a same‑day logistics operation.
• A full UK manual driving licence, held for a minimum of three years, with no more than six penalty points.

Working Hours

• 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday (5 days per week).
• Optional Saturday work may be available.
• Start times vary depending on workload and may be as early as 2:00am.
• Finish times vary daily based on delivery schedules and travel distances.
• Full flexibility is essential for this role.

Job Allocation

• There is no fixed rota due to the nature of same‑day delivery work.
• Jobs are typically allocated between 1:00pm and 3:00pm on the day before the shift.
• Same‑day job allocations are also common.

Standby (Not On-Call)

This is not a formal on‑call position; however:

• Drivers will be required to work standby days.
• Drivers must be available between 8:00am and 4:00pm on standby days.
• Jobs may be assigned at any point during this period.
• A full day's pay will be provided, even if no job is assigned.

• Early starts and longer working days are balanced where possible.
• Drivers are trained across the wider network to support operational flexibility and business needs.
