Job summary

Pharmaron in Coventry, RI is seeking a Process Engineer to support technology transfer, scale-up, CQV, and commercial API manufacturing. You will work across Process Chemistry, Manufacturing, QA/QC, Supply Chain and EHS to bring processes from development to production and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a BS in Chemical Engineering with 2+ years in pharma manufacturing, along with familiarity with cGMPs and OSHA PSM.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering or closely related field.
• 2+ years of manufacturing or engineering experience in pharmaceutical ingredients.
• Experience working in cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Define appropriate process scale and equipment for new processes in existing facilities.
• Support technology transfer projects from development through manufacturing implementation.
• Generate and maintain GMP documentation including batch records, testing protocols and SOPs.
• Provide training to Operations personnel on new and modified processes.
• Assess process chemistry optimization and analyze process safety data.
• Manage process safety concerns and support PSM implementation including PHAs.
• Provide on-call technical support during new process start-ups.
• Generate and own change controls, quality events, CAPAs and other quality systems.
• Design, specify and install new equipment or modifications up to moderate scope.
• Maintain site CQV activities and safety-related actions; support document repositories (AutoCAD Vault).
