Job summary

Perrigo Company plc in Braunton, UK is seeking a Process Engineer to join the Process Engineering Team. You will design, implement and optimise manufacturing processes for oral solid dose products, ensuring efficiency, safety, cost-effectiveness and regulatory compliance.

You will work with Maintenance, Production, Quality and Capital Projects to troubleshoot issues, drive continuous improvement with Lean and Six Sigma, and contribute to SOPs, validation protocols and technical reports.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of process engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in an oral solid dose pharmaceutical manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with process optimisation.
• Experience writing technical reports.
• Experience working in a highly regulated industry preferred.
• Experience with industrial building services preferred.
• Experience working in a cGMP environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve and maintain expert process and equipment knowledge within a manufacturing area.
• Identify opportunities for process optimisation and design changes.
• Conduct engineering change management activities to assess proposed changes.
• Contribute to preliminary financial analysis of improvements to quantify benefit.
• Oversee implementation of changes and ensure benefits are realized.
• Ensure processes meet EHS, Quality and other regulatory requirements.
• Work with Maintenance, Production, Quality and Capital Projects to design and maintain production equipment and systems.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Contribute to the Engineering Documentation/Drawing management system and develop SOPs/validation protocols/technical reports.
